Crane, Rigger, Jigs~
Overview:
Determines, selects, secures, and adjusts suitable type and number of slings, cables, hooks, and/or other lifting and securing devices so that established weight limits, and clearances are observed, load will be balanced and secured properly, pull will be uniform and evenly distributed to avoid damage to load, and load is aligned properly for precision positioning or mating.
Responsibilities:
Rigs such typical items as large aircraft assemblies being removed from or placed in jigs; equipment and machines being moved or installed, and large assembly or large master jigs. Guides movements of crane operator by hand signals, so that load will be properly placed or positioned and to insure safety of load, adjacent equipment, and personnel.
Performs any function of the truck crane operator as required. Use blueprints and arithmetic involving addition and subtraction, and must have a complete knowledge of crane riggers practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or an Accredited GED or equivalent plus 1 year of directly related experience as a Crane Operator.
