Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Technology Leader for a permanent opportunity working in the Aerospace industry. The role is a permanent opportunity and based in Bristol.

The purpose of the role is to create an innovative, value adding technology strategy and associated project portfolio in support of business growth targets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

1. The creation of a technology strategy

2. To develop a strong understanding of and alignment with Customers product strategies

3. To gather inputs from all stakeholders associated with defining future products, including Business Unit General Managers, Business Development, Chief Engineers and Customer Account Managers

4. Identification and initiation of technology projects

5. To establish the sponsorship, resourcing and leadership approach for each project to ensure the achievement of Cost, Quality and Delivery imperatives

6. Management of the Technology technical review processes

7. Governance of the technology budget

8. Providing progress reporting and communication material

9. To foster a culture of innovation and technology

10. To make connections between Technology areas in order to develop integrated customer focused technology solutions

We are looking for candidates that are educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline). You need to have extensive expertise in Engineering Technology and Manufacturing Systems and Systems integration with experience in designing, developing and commissioning manufacturing systems solutions in either Aerospace or Automotive.

In addition to this have the ability to develop technical solutions, compliant with requirements within agreed programmes and timescales. We are looking for candidates that have proven track record in acting as an Engineering technology lead and are able to demonstrate a proven track record in the delivery of multi disciplined Engineering Programmes in the design phase and into production. You need to be able to demonstrate extensive leadership experience across multi disciplined Engineers teams and as part of an engineering leadership team.
