Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Manufacturing to work as part of the Research & Development team. This is a key leadership role where you will manage R & D programmes in the establishment of new and existing production processes for Composite manufacture

The successful Senior Manufacturig Engineer will initially be working on the development of an engine composite fan blade.

Essential Requirements:
Candidates should be able to demonstrate previous successful experience in the co-ordination of engineering and production activities as part of a development programme. Liaison with customers, suppliers and partnering organisations will form a significant element of the role.
A willingness to work as part of a small multi-disciplinary team, with a flexible approach to involvement in all aspects of CRC activities is essential.
Recognised degree or HND in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Proactive with regard to new developments in the area of expertise
Good interpersonal skills required for team working
Self motivated and resourceful
Innovative toward any aspect of the job
Flexible and capable of working in a complex environment
Good reporting skills on project status and progress
Ability in dealing with customers and suppliers
Willingness to travel (UK Europe and US)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of programs

Additional Skills
One or more of the following additional skills would also be useful.
Use of CATIA V4 or V5 surfacing and solid modelling design packages
Use of NC packages
Use of any software package for numerical simulation of processes
Use of any software package related to design for manufacturing with composite materials
