Job Description

My client, a leading aerospace company in Bristol is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Production Support Manager to act as principal technical focal point for the management of all concessions and minor deviations on the A350 programme.

Accountabilities:
Reports technically to the Chief Engineer-A350 with functional standards and enablers governed by the Engineering function, and operationally to the Programme Concessions Lead.
To manage all Engineering processes relating to the response to Operations and Suppliers requests for Concessions and Minor Deviations
Engineering support to A350 Operations and Suppliers encompassing current and new product variants

Key Accountabilities
Accountable for ensuring the appropriate number of competent support staff adhere to all relevant Engineering and Quality procedures and standards
Is a technical authority on a discipline for MRB approval (e.g. design checker, stress approver) or, has extensive experience that can lead to required technical authority.
Ownership of the Engineering Support, performance (Cost, Quality, Delivery) and associated continuous improvement
Engineering contribution to non-conformance reduction and continuous product development
Performance reporting and related corrective actions
Enabling technical toolset development and implementation
Organisational and employee development
Future state Engineering Support strategy and implementation
Ensure compliance to the company's Health and Safety policies
Preparedness and support to internal and external audits including non-conformance corrective actions
Engineering Support workload and prioritisation management
Customer interface for related technical issues
Development of a new Engineering Support workflow system within SAP
Group integration with Engineering Centre
