Morson Wynnwith are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer for a permanent position based in the Birmingham area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking responsibility for engineering issues supporting manufacturing operations, equipment and production processes, as well as engineering project management of new or improvement projects to processes and equipment.
The keys areas are: Process capability improvements and scrap reduction and the development, introduction, qualification and approval of new processes and materials.
The duties will include:
1. Develop and Support high volume Aerospace manufacturing environment.
2. Structured Problem solving & data analysis.
3. Corrective action implementation responsibility.
4. Liaise with Cell leaders and Value Stream managers to support cell as necessary
5. TPM Implementation & support
6. Analysis of scrap data and reduction actions.
7. Machine/process capability studies
8. Support Kaizen activity & CI action completion
9. Support Implementation of Standard Work
10. Supporting existing processing equipment
11. Specification of equipment required to support production
12. Participating in Kaizen, Lean and Safety awareness events site wide and helping to work with Production to implement improvements
We are looking for applicants that are qualified to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or Material Science. You need to have held a similar role within a manufacturing environment as well as having a high level of computer literacy.
