An excellent opportunity has arisen working for a prestigious aerospace Company. The role can potentially be based in Hampshire or Gloucestershire.
Role Summary/Purpose : The Systems EPM - A350 takes overall program responsibility for the -1000 iteration of the A350 program. You will have a cross functional management team reporting to you and together you will deliver an integrated product offering to the customer.
Essential Responsibilities : Negotiate work scope & schedule with internal and external customers
Take overall responsibility for developing an integrated program plan to meet program schedule commitments, support Technical Program Managers to meet schedule commitments and deliveries
Ensure functional managers have resource plans which meet program needs
Control and project spend, secure budget and spend authorization as required, track and report on metrics as required
Manage technical requirements and ensure adherence to requirements, negotiate commercially on requirement creep where required
Identify, manage and drive down project risks, drive risk mitigation actions, review status and maintain a comprehensive Risk Management Process, resolve or elevate issues
Manage communications with customers at tech reviews, coordination meetings, etc.
Drive ownership and accountability to functional managers and leaders
Identify escapes and needed process improvements and communicate them
Drive Technical Program Managers to ensure technical execution of all program commitments
Qualifications/Requirements : Qualified to degree level in mechanical or aerospace engineering or appropriate demonstrable experience
Strong communication skills.
Self motivated
Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience of leading teams of at least 20 engineers
Significant leadership experience within an aerospace engineering environment
Prepared to travel to customer facilities.
Desired Characteristics : An additional business and/or financial qualification are preferred but not essential.
Experience within an aerospace structural design engineering environment dealing with programme / project management and commercial issues
