My client is one of the foremost designers and installers of specialist security equipment in the UK. From small beginnings they now have a workforce of 70 employees and number many High Street banks and financial institutions in their client portfolio. Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit an Engineering Manager to join the team based in Buckinghamshire.
Your day to day activities will mainly involved in the resource planning and management of the company's major installation projects throughout the UK. Reporting to the Directors you will take the responsibility for existing projects and contracts, focusing on resource planning, budget control and the management of individuals across each project. You will take direct responsibility of the installation and engineering teams, their welfare and performance, as well as liaising with individual project mangers, the sales team and senior engineers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and under budget wherever possible.
Although the role will involve being able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, you will be offered a high degree of autonomy, with the opportunity to make decisions and to have a real bearing on the business.
To be considered you need to demonstrate:
A background in electrical or electronic engineering
A proven track record in engineering management with responsibility for successfully completing capital projects with budgets in excess of £1,000,000 (examples of such will be required)
Effective resource planning / management skills
Previous experience of managing multi disciplinary teams of individuals
A positive and capable approach with a strong ability to persevere
The ability to travel throughout the UK as required (40% travel)
Based within reasonable travelling distance of Beaconsfield
Although not essential, knowledge of the security industry may be an advantage in this post
The company is offering a package that is made up of:
A competitive basic salary, company car, performance related bonus, paid holiday. PMI (after probation), pension (after 1 years service).
