An exciting opportunity has arisen for Skilled Machinist to work a short term contract for one of the Worlds Leading Aerospace Engineering Organisations, based in Yeovil, Somerset.
Main responsibilities will include setting and operating of conventional and CNC Machinery in order to produce components to the appropriate quality and within appropriate timescales.
Duties will include:
* Setting Machinery following the job card and process sketch data and using relevant 'set up' sheets
* Use measuring equipment to inspect machine components
* Responsible for ensuring 'first off' and batch work meets process sketch requirements and recording any information as required.
* ensuring that components are handled and stored appropriately
* managing your own workload ensuring quality. cost and delivery.
Candidates applying ideally, should be either NVQ Level 3 qualified in Engineering production or have an equivalent apprenticeship but this is not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the worlds largest aerospace defence organisations. There is also the opportunity of overtime and an increase in rate for working weekends and bank holidays!
