Job Description

Responsibilities:

Create complex high quality tool designs; integrating concepts and principles of mechanical design, tool fabrication processes and production use requirements in the design and digital format UG-NX experience is preferred. Capable of designing, in a CAD format (CATIA, Pro-E, Solid works, ect.) with efficient modeling techniques is a must.

Familiar with all types of assembly jigs and fixtures, composite bond fixtures, friction stir welding and lifting/ handling fixtures used in the aerospace industry.

Must be proficient FEA (Finite Element Analysis)

Help design the tools that will build America's next generation of Space craft.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will typically have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or ten years of related experience.

Minimum of 4000 hours in UG-NX6 tool design. Other CAD experience and 6000 hours will be considered in lieu of UG-NX experience.

Ability to interpret engineering data, analyze tool request for tool configuration and manufacturing requirements, apply sound design and drafting standards (ANSI 14.5) in creating tool definition.

The ability to work in a team environment is a must. All designs are the collective effort of the team.
