Job Description

A number of opportunities have come up in Operations including the need for an experienced Machinist. The ideal candidate will have a significant number of years experience in manual and CNC milling in a 'jobbing' shop and be flexible and conscientious in their approach to work. Join our small and enthusiastic team and help to build this new business.

Tasks:
* Operate manual turning and milling machines
* Produce high quality machined components on time and to schedule using a variety of CNC machines and manual mills.
* Generate practical ideas for improving component manufacture and quality.
* Read and inspect components to Technical Drawings




Person specification:

Essential:
* Apprentice trained or equivalent experience in machining
* Experienced in manufacturing one offs

* Manual milling and lathe
* CNC milling and lathe
* Team focused
* Ability to work under minimal supervision
* Flexible. Able to cope with varied and changing work and tight deadlines
* Has pride in their work. Keeps work area clean and tidy


Desirable:
* Experience of 5 AXIS machining
* Experienced in off line programming


The controllers that are in use at present are as follows:
* Siemens 840D
* HAAS


Fanuc controller knowledge will be of some use as it is very similar to the HAAS system.
