Job Description

My client based in Reading, Berkshire is one of the largest water companies in the country. They now require a maternity cover for a minimum 6 months, possibly longer but not guaranteed. This is a crucial role and there will be a two week handover period, before the present incumbent goes on maternity leave.

Purpose: Leading a large and diverse team, which is responsible for the notifications of defects and the receipt and validation of charges issued by Highway Authorities as a result of the New Roads and Street Works Act. Responsible for the Business Planning for 6 cost centres totalling £11millon Pounds, and for managing the Contractor Recharge and Dispute Process.

To lead an invoice processing, cost allocation and analytical team that makes up the Street Works Bureau (SWB), managing processes and co-ordinating resources to optimise and improve process delivery to enable business unit to meet operational performance delivery and business plan targets. To ensure all staff operates at maximum integrity, processing data aligned to process and that process is fit for purpose.

Hourly Rate £22.61 an hour through a limited / Umbrella Company or £18.56 an hour on a PAYE basis
Hours 36 hours a week
