Job Description

Our client is a global business, providing and supplying integrated power systems for use on land, sea and air. We have established a strong position in civil aerospace, defence aerospace, marine and energy markets. Our client is seeking to recruit a Buyer for an initial contract period of 5 Months working on a part time basis within the Global Indirect Purchasing Team based in Derby. As a Buyer you will be required to: Develop and implement global external Supplier and Commodity strategies as designated, which will drive long-term improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery. Engaging and supporting key stakeholders, to enhance the competitive and commercial performance of our client, its customers and its suppliers. To operate within the Global Indirect Purchasing Team across the full services life cycle, ensuring supplier commercial issues are resolved effectively and efficiently. To manage Work Queue, including the sourcing of parts/services, raising and management of all purchase documents within the ERP system or other purchasing systems.

Essential Skills Experience:

Previous experience of contracting with service providers Experience of buying professional, marketing, financial and HR services for a major corporation or similar. Global working and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working Has a proven track record in delivering results Understands services processes and the cost drivers Understand the Total Cost of Acquisition impact Understands and operates Supplier Relationship Management
Desirable Knowledge of SAP and e-business tools.
