Job Description

 A' Licensed Technician

4x4 10.25 Hrs Nights

London Gatwick (Internal & External)

We have three vacancies for A Licensed Technicians within the Line Services Department at the Gatwick base working on a 4x4 permanent night shift, 10.25 hrs per shift.

Job Purpose:

  

With experience on A320 family, and B737NG you will be required to carry out routine maintenance, modifications and ensure expedient rectification of aircraft defects as directed by the certifying Licensed Engineer/Shift Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  

Ø  Exercising their licence/approval in relation to the accomplishment of scheduled, unscheduled maintenance and rectification of defects, to ensure maintenance is accomplished to the required standards and the operating programme is achieved in an efficient and safe manner.

Ø  Reviewing the work and resources allocated and required to ensure expedient rectification of defects utilising allocated staff and maintaining liaison with the certifying Licensed Engineer or Shift Leader.

Ø  Advising the Licensed Engineer or Shift Leader of any impending service disruptions, problems or areas of concern that may have an impact on the operating programme.

Ø  Ensuring both they and staff under their immediate control adhere to published technical and safety requirements defined in published manuals and other publications.

Ø  Ensuring documentation and its certification is completed in a timely manner and to the defined procedures to meet Company and Contracted Customer Procedures and legislation.

Ø  The safekeeping of their tool kit.

Ø  Such other duties as may be reasonably directed by the Licensed Engineer or Shift Leader

  

Experience required:

  • Hold a minimum of one licence (A' licence with certifying privileges )
  • Ideally, proven operational experience of working within a line maintenance environment.
  • High degree of customer focus - both internal and external.
  • Able to work effectively in a team, as well as independently, in all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
