Job Description

Parc Aviation on behalf of our client Qatar Airways is looking to recruit ICAO Type II or EASA B1 Aircraft Licensed Engineers for permanent positions within the Structures Workshop.

Qatar Airways currently operate one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the industry. By 2013, Qatar Airways will have increased their fleet to 110 aircraft.
We invite applications for the following position to be based in Doha, Qatar.

B1 Licensed Engineers Structures

The B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer Structures to cover the following:

  • Prerequisite for workshop approvals and increase shop capabilities.
  • Effectively service aircraft's components/parts as per the company's approved procedures in a timely manner and acceptable cost.
  • Review the work and available resources and utilise the allocated manpower for rectifying components/ parts effectively.
  • Prepare studies for projected workshop work and additional capabilities

Qualification:

1. Valid A.M.L ICAO Type II basic license or B1 EASA.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience as Licensed Aircraft Structural Engineer approved on "single Aisle' or "wide body" commercial aircraft.
3. Minimum of 10 years experience in the field of aircraft structural repairs.
4. Completed Structural maintenance and repair course on "single Aisle' or "wide body" commercial aircraft.
5. Computer skills

Preferred

- Diploma or BSc degree in Engineering

- Completed approved training on:
a) Airbus (A340 or A330 or A320) and/ or Boeing (B777) SRM.
b) Composites basics (Airbus or Boeing).
c) Production Drawing (Airbus or Boeing).
d) Flap peening.
e) Cold working of holes ( Airbus or Boeing)
f) Heat treatment of aircraft parts

Previous Experience:

Essential

1. Minimum 5 years aircraft structural experience on "single Aisle' or "wide body" commercial aircraft as certifying staff.
2. Handled major structural repairs/modifications on "single Aisle' or "wide body" commercial aircraft.
3. Performed structural repairs on aircraft/components (Airbus / Boeing fleet) including repair layout, drilling, cutting, riveting and sealing etc....
4. Replaced structural parts such as seat tracks, stringers, etc..
5. Fabricated multi curvature repair parts.
6. Performed dent dress out repair.
7. Performed fuel tank sealant repairs.
8. Performed corrosion removal, scratch blending.
9. Capable of using Precision Measuring Tools Vernier Calliper, Micrometers and D.T.I....
10. Fabrication of structural secondary parts, such as brackets, clips, etc...
11. Report damage details.
12. Performed heat treatment of structural parts.

Preferred

  • Capable of reading and interpret production drawings for Airbus and or Boeing fleet.
  • Capable of fabrication of multi-curvature repair parts.
  • Capable of performing flap peening
  • Capable of performing cold working
  • Capable of performing minor composite repairs.
  • Capable to perform rigid pipes repair (Permaswage/Rynglok type).
  • Capable of removing and installing Heli-coil insert.
