Job Description

Architect, Teamcenter, Systems Engineering~

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and develop system architectures for new or existing IT related systems, defining key functional and technical capabilities. Assess design and technology maturity constraints of the system in conjunction with customer needs. Review and approve design of subsystems and integration between components for total system, as well as impacts to other systems.
Manufacturing Systems Architect:
Candidate will function as an IT representative to the Manufacturing areas of the company. Build to order manufacturing facilities include sheet metal, foundry, and outfitting operations. Clear understanding of business systems from Engineering CAD/Product Model design, development of EBOM/COM, integration into ERP, crew assignment, job completion and inspection, and shop floor management systems is required. Candidate must be familiar with business approaches in the space, and be able to develop IT enabling strategies, as well as had key participation in manufacturing process reengineering and manufacturing automation/modernization.
Individual must be able to apply advanced business principles, theories, and concepts within the IT arena. Individual is expected to be have the ability to quickly delve into solutions, review vendor approaches, understand business implications, and determine key functional differences when applied to business situations. Systems under review may be complex requiring quick but thorough analysis and analytical as well as creative thinking in deriving solutions. Outcomes, plans, and recommendations will be presented to Executive Management.
A thorough understanding and working knowledge of a large manufacturing environment is required. Candidate must enjoy deep situational analysis, detailed review of software products, and yet have the ability to provide clear analysis and recommendations to management. The ability to see and describe the âForest through the Treesâ is required, breaking analysis between business and technical solutions into manageable approaches.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
This job requires a bachelorâs degree in IT discipline, and 12 or more years of specialized IT experience. An advanced degree in either Engineering or IT field is desirable and may substitute for 2 years of the experience requirement. Candidate with a bachelorâs or higher degree in engineering technology, physics, mathematics, architecture, or computer science (including programming or MIS) may also qualify for this position.
Skill Set Description: Candidate MUST have background with SAP or other ERP systems, and well as Siemens or similar PLM systems. Shop floor management experience and integration between product sets is also desirable. Ideal candidate would have Siemens Team Center Unified, Team Center Manufacturing, SAP, and SAP-ME background. Experience with a large, heavy manufacturer in the defense sector is beneficial as well.
