Job Description

Our client requires a CAD/PLM Specialist for their engiuneering division in Switzerland to improve and operate CAD/PLM solutions for the key processes.

Description/Tasks

Deliver services to improve and operate CAD/PLM solutions for the key processes of the company:

  • Operation of current and future processes and applications
  • Execution of system level support for CAD/PLM applications
  • Maintenance, improvement and documentation of CAD/PLM methodology
  • Training of engineering support- and key -users
  • Preparation of specifications and other technical documents
  • Collaborating with internal customers to support organizational needs on CAD/PLM
  • Collaborating with external service providers
  • Execution and support CAD/PLM projects
  • Execution and support of functional testing (also at weekends)
  • Execution and support of user acceptance tests (with internal customers)
  • Execution and support of deployment weekends
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to improve quality and resolve issues as they occur in an international environment

Qualification

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or other equivalent education
  • Understanding of standards CAD/PLM technologies, database concepts and interfaces

Experience

  • Practical experience in use of CATIA V5 application is beneficial
  • 2-3 years hands on experience in support and/or development on CAD/PDM (SmarTeam application is beneficial)
  • Experience with Engineering processes and data management
  • Good communication and documentation skills in English
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks
  • Ability to recognize issues on existing implementations and make recommendations on applying improvements
  • Ability to work after technical instructions and procedures
  • Detail and problem solving oriented
  • Commitment to excellence and pride in their work
  • Works well both independently and in a team environment
