LAN, AMC C2 Systems, Active Directory~
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Place of Work: Scott AFB
System administration of Network, Web, and/or communications systems, including LAN and WAN systems, involving network security.
βΆ Administration of user accounts, passwords, email, chat, and FTP
βΆ Maintains servers, creates monitoring reports and logs, and ensures functionality of links
βΆ Monitors web site for acceptable performance and user accessibility
βΆ Establishes back-ups and monitors site security.
βΆ Consults with and advises network users.
βΆ Coordinates network administration and performance requirements with others in the information systems function.
βΆ Performs moderately complex systems and database administration. Monitors and tunes appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance.
βΆ Oversees appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages.
βΆ Collects and reviews system data for capacity and planning purposes. Analyzes capacity data and develops capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems. Coordinates with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes.
βΆ Supports the design and configuration of complex system landscapes.
βΆ Supports complex data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations. Plans, coordinates and directs appropriate level data refresh strategies.
βΆ Oversees, recommends and implements appropriate level database solutions and enhancements to ensure an improvement in system reliability and performance.
βΆ Oversees and applies appropriate support packages/patches to maintain system integrity.
βΆ Develops and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current. Oversees the maintenance of a library of system-supporting process and procedure documentation.
βΆ Interacts with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues.
βΆ Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
βΆ Recent experience with one of the AMC C2 Systems (ACFP, COINS, CAMPS, GATES/WPS, GCCS, and GDSS) is highly desired.
βΆ Recent experience with any of the software listed here is desired: Active Directory, DFS, DNS, Windows client and server OS, IIS, MS SQL Server, MS Exchange Server, CA Unicenter, BrightStor Enterprise Backup Suite, Oracle, MS Office Suite Applications, Cisco IOS, and SAN Utilities.
βΆ Information Assurance Technician Level II (Security+) highly desired -- must complete the Security + certification within six months (not billable).
Candidate must have experience as/with Unix SA.
