RESPONSIBILITIES:
Information architecture support (6J7B 6D7 P5)
Support the software development team for the Next Generation Operational Control Segment (OCX) Global Positioning System (GPS) program located at the Client Denver Engineering Center (BDEC) in Aurora, Colorado. Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for the GPS Archival Retrieval System (ARS). Assist in the development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Assist in the development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics. Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive IT knowledge is a satellite ground segment domain.
Experience with the following Oracle 11g technologies is required: Real Application Clusters, Data Guard, Data Pump, Advanced Security, NAS/SAN storage, Tuning & Performance.
EDCUATION:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience.
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
