Job Description

A contract opportunity exists for a Programme Analyst to undertake a temporary assignment for 3 months working for leading global Aerospace and Defence company based in Marlow. The role is also being recruited on a temp to perm basis. The Programme Analyst role covers a broad range of activities relating to project and programme management (e.g. Risk management and programme control), co-ordination and communication (e.g. management of Sharepoint) and financial reporting. It is proposed that the analysts should be capable of leading upon one of the key areas, whilst being able to support colleagues where required. The Programme Analyst ensures that appropriate briefing is provided to the Programme Manager/Director regarding EiD performance; this involves collection, analysis, summarisation and interpretation of data obtained from sites and projects. You will be required to prepare reports and present materials for management ensuring pertinent information is communicated to participants.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills/Experience: Highly proficient the use of MS Project Highly proficient in the use of MS Office suite Highly proficient in the analysis and interpretation of data Must be able to meet demanding deadlines and maintain quality Understanding of program control Able to produce consolidated returns Able to communicate very well and build long term relationships

Core areas of Knowledge & Experience:

Skills/Experience: Understanding of project control methodology Understanding of financial concepts (depreciation and capital appreciation in particular is highly desirable but not essential and control of budgets Degree or higher qualified or offering comparable commercial/industrial experience. 5 years' experience in a commercial/industrial environment is desirable Comfortable to participate in "Contract Review Meetings" The Client for this roles is ideally looking for people who live close to the area they have mentioned the Reading area as being a place to potentially look. Preferably they would like an analyst with a manufacturing background Not a background which is too heavy in IT or finance.
