Front of House Operational Support Officer London Gatwick Airport (£18,000 to £20,000 per annum) - Our client, a large Ground Handling Company, is looking for a Front of House Operational Support Officer, based at London Gatwick Airport, near Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead and Redhill.
Job Role
As a Front of House Operational Support Officer, you will provide operational administrational support to the Passenger Services Manager / Assistant Manager and the team of Operational Managers to ensure the efficient operation of the business delivering the highest standard of service.
Main Accountabilities include:
Provide confidential support to the Passenger Services Manager / Assistant Passenger Service Manager and the team of Operational Managers.
Provide operational and administrational support, advice and encouragement to all staff and process all staff enquiries.
Set up and maintain employee absence and performance files to the required standard ensuring records are up to date and readily available. Communicate trigger points for employee management to Operational Managers and to follow process to ensure completion.
To assist with planning the operational teams through roster management and staff levels on daily basis to ensure Operational cover and to react to changes to customers schedules.
Support the management team in arranging and documenting all communication to staff including letters, re rosters, shift swaps and operational memos.
Process monthly bonus and communicate other ad-hoc payments to the Administration Department payroll.
Process any changes to contractual terms due to roster changes and ensure these are communicated to the administrational team to include increase and decrease to hours and shift changes.
Daily enquiries which may include salary queries due absence/performance and overtime discrepancies.
To respond to exceptions from administration in a timely manner to ensure smooth process of payroll by the Admin team.
Liaise and communicate with Operational Managers, set-up and assist in welfare meetings, offer support and advice and propose recommendations.
Manage and coordinate Read & Signs.
Collate and action all internal and external mail on a daily basis and disseminate to required departments for example: UNMINS, Sick certification, Delay reports.
Assist with the coordination of recruitment days and support to Departmental Managers during Recruitment Drives.
Candidate
The position will suit a candidate with previous experience in a similar role. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate:
Ability to work using own initiative and without supervision.
Good team player.
Excellent organisational, planning and administrative skills and a good eye for detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience of working in a busy, sometimes high pressured environment.
Experience of dealing with work of a confidential and sensitive nature.
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint to a high level.
Hours
This is a full time, permanent position to start in early 2012. Working on average 40 hours a week, you will work shifts as per operational requirements.
Salary and Benefits
Superb total salary of £18,000 to £20,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
£150.00 per month Performance Related Bonus
