Job Description

Human Resources Manager

To provide full HR support within the Plant. The role reports to the Head of HR Business Partners and provides direction and management to a team of HR Business Partners located on the site.

Skills and Qualifications
At least 5 years generalist HR experience allied to a strong commercial and strategic business understanding.
The successful candidate will also need to possess a broad working knowledge of HR systems, practices and policies gained in a similar Client Facing role, allied with proven knowledge and experience across a range of HR Operational areas including Employee Relations and associated employment law.
Preference is for a degree level qualification and a professional HR qualification and/or membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Ability to influence senior management teams to act on key recommendations and provide any necessary support to ensure implementation.
Have proven experience of building strong business partnerships.
Ability to coach at all levels.

Principle Accountabilities
Provide direction to the HR team providing the right competent resources to meet business needs, engaging our people, driving HR efficiency and reinforcing HR proximity.
Leadership and development of the HR team.
Ensure robust delivery and leadership of the HR plan for outsourcing activity on relevant non core business areas in scope.
Support to the appropriate Heads of Business and Function in the consistent deployment and achievement of 'TWO people targets' across the business areas.
Accountability for delivery of employment policy at a local level.
Overall accountability for the delivery of HR activities within the appropriate business and functional areas such as recruitment, resourcing, training, employee relations, reward systems, performance management systems in conjunction with the Centres of Expertise.
To create positive and productive partnerships with both employees and their representatives.
To provide facilitation and guidance on: Organisational Design, Leadership and Succession Planning, medium and long term Skills and Resource Planning and Employment Policy.
To provide support on performance management risks to the wider business areas.
In conjunction with the Employee Relations Centre of Expertise, deliver appropriate ER / Policy solutions to support significant business change.
Provide direction for the HR Value Chain to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of services and solutions, to ensure customer needs are understood and met as appropriate.
Ensuring a full understanding of the main business drivers and establishing a professional rapport with the senior management teams in order that a comprehensive and proactive HR service can be provided across the full range of HR activities related to resource management, training, employee relations, reward systems, and performance management.
