Job Description

The Maintenance Manager is responsible to the Director, Technical Services for all maintenance activities conducted at the Line/Heavy Maintenance within all Emir Airlines main and out stations and that would include:

  • 1. General oversee the aircraft Line Maintenance personnel and activities.
  • 2. Direct liaison between the Director technical Services and the Aviation Maintenance Technicians under his responsibility.
  • 3. Scheduling of manpower making sure that there is always enough qualified manpower at all stations all the time their presence is required.
  • 4. Coordination of staff, as within others the training requirements, emergency situations, transfers, vacations, replacement, and disciplinary actions.
  • 5. Coordinate with HR Department for Visas and Work Permits, Housing, and Transportation as necessary.
  • 6. Make sure that the work quality is always of Aviation Industry high standards and fulfills GACA and Emir Airlines GMM requirements.
  • 7. Ensures that the Emir Airlines GMM, Technical documentation are correctly followed and completed.
  • 8. Make sure that all Emir Airlines employees have a professional appearance.
  • 9. Make sure that all Emir Airlines line maintenance offices are cleaned, organized and professionally kept including tooling and ground support equipment.
  • 10. Responsible for Audit findings actions, e.g. non-conformances etc, in conjunction with the Chief Inspector and Director, of Technical Services requirements.
  • 11. Have a full control of days-off and vacation of all employees under his responsibility.
  • 12. Make sure that the work performance and technical dispatch reliability of Emir Airlines fulfills the goals and company expectances.
  • 13. Make sure that all Emir Airlines employees follow the company rules and standards.
  • 14. Maintain a safe working environment and ensuring staff conform to safety procedures.
  • 15. Report to the Director Technical Services and Chief Inspector over any incident/accident.
  • 16. Assigns and controls all the certification staff.
  • 17. Makes sure that all components and spare parts removed from the aircraft pending return to stores proper and timely shipped or are segregated the quarantine as per GMM regulations.
  • 18. Any other duties as directed by the Director Technical Services.
