We are currently looking for a Shipping Clerk to work in Gosport, Hampshire.
Approx 37 hours per week
Purpose & Scope - To assist the Import/Export coordinator in the worldwide freight activity (including import/export with International Trade regulations including UK Customs, Chamber of Commerce and import/export documentation.
Responsibilities: Package and ship parts or aircraft engines to location as specified using approved couriers.
Assist in processing in coming and outgoing engine or engine components per the applicable instructions and communicate information as required to all parties served.
Assist in the operation of the courier shipping system and fill out on line & manual documents ensuring all documentation is correct to allow parts to move quickly to destinations.
Set up and maintain engine shipping database and engine crate database.
Education and Training: Microsoft windows, Microsoft excel and word. Qualified to operate the forklift to receive deliveries and send shipments recommended. Grade C, GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths. Experience in shipping, receiving, issuing and parts handling. Experience of a computerised inventory systems. Able to follow Company policy and Procedure.
Technical Requirements: Experience of a similar role. Ability to provide a high level of Customer service. Good Interpersonal communication skills. A flexible approach to all aspects from packaging products to some stores and spares. Aerospace experience desirable but not essential.
Additional Information: Physical demands including manual handling will be required. Must be willing to walk to various areas throughout the facility.
£7.60 per hr PAYE/£9.22 per hr LTD
