Mechanical Senior Technician who has Seaking experience is required to work in the Falkland Islands to cover 6 month maternity leave.
We are looking for a Mechanical Senior Technician to work for a leading defence company based in Falkland Islands.
Your role will be to support the delivery of the search and rescue task. Seaking experience is essential for this position.
This role will be to cover maternity cover on a 6 month fixed term basis.
You must have proven rotary experience of working in a military capability, in a supervisory role.
Your main duties will include:
Undertake aircraft maintenance within trade
Operation and maintenance of aircraft ground support equipment
Maintenance in support of storage tasks
Carry out independent inspections
Determine the level of flight servicing required after maintenance
Preparation of aircraft for road or air transportation
Aircraft moving and handling
Preparation of aircraft for flight and security of aircraft after flight
Complete all aircraft and equipment maintenance and documentation
Carry out flight line operations
Provide technical support
You need to have the following skills/experience:
Aircraft apprenticeship, service equivalent trade training, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
Full driving licence
Aircraft engineering experience including proven ability in a supervisory role
MOD aircraft engineering procedure knowledge
You will be required to obtain and maintain sponsored reserve status. This will include the passing of the general service training.
The site operates on a 24/7 basis and you will be working 2 month on and 1 months off.
The salary is £34,983 per annum pro rota for the 6 month period.
