Job Description

Trainee Technical Authors / Experience Technical Authors - Contract or Permanent

We are looking for Technical Authors with a good understanding of Gas Turbine engines to work on a permanent or on a contract basis. It would be beneficial to the client if you have worked as a technician or engineer and then moved in to a technical authoring role however the client will train ex services personnel who have worked as a technician on engines, has a thorough understanding and would prefer to work in an office environment.

As a technical author you will be required to produce clear, concise, accurate and technically verified information, instructions and support data for all the client company products. You will be expected to write technical, operational, maintenance and repair information and instructions in a logical form, compatible with other related information to permit safe and correct operation.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working within a similar role and has a comprehensive knowledge of aeronautical engineering plus a full understanding of publications standards, specifications, procedures and production processes. However if you are Ex RAF, Navy or Army staff with a sound understanding of engines and would like to be developed as an Author please contact Protec.
