Job Description

Brookwood Aviation is looking for a number of Skilled Air Frame Fitters (Night-shift) within our clients engineering organisation. You will be tasked to carry out the structural modifications and maintenance including fuel tank work on the FSTA Series Conversion aircraft at Bournemouth.

Responsible to the nominated supervisor for the Conversion, Modification, scheduled maintenance. Component changes, rectification and repair, mandatory inspection.
The control of any material or Company equipment provided for the task. The cleanliness of his working area at all times.
Required to work in a safe manner and perform other tasks as may be required by his Supervisor.
To embody the FSTA Structural modification tasks under supervision.
To identify potential problems to the Conversion task and provide workable solutions.
To ensure that he/she complies with responsibilities as defined in the FRA company policy To provide knowledge and experience of the conversion to team members Complete all work cards as soon possible, as the task has been completed and hand the completed worksheets to his/her SLAE/ leading Hand/ inspector.
Notify his/her supervisor of any serious defects immediately they are found. Ensure all Health & Safety, Quality and Security processes and procedures are complied with. To ensure that all work on the aircraft and associated components is carried out in accordance with relevant Authorities Processes and procedures To carry out the directions of the Leading Hand / Inspector

You will have served an Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or Service Equivalent. Have experience of major Structural repairs and conversions/ modifications on wide bodied aircraft. In addition, you will be required to provide your own tools.

If the Contractors hold any of the following certificates please can you advise them that they will need to provide evidence of this. Human Factors Initial (and/or Refresher) certificates Fuel Tank Safety Level 2 (aka SFAR 88) certificates Any EWIS certificates so that they can be scanned and assessed for currency/compliance
