Purchasing, Aerospace Manufacturing, Procurement~
Overview:
Purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and supplies necessary for operation of an organization. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Confers with vendors and analyzes vendors' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
Responsibilities:
Requires knowledge of the Aerospace industry, manufacturing methods and processes used in the manufacture of aerospace structures and assemblies, as well as knowledge of procurement processes and systems. Requires strong communications skills, as well as strong organization and project management skills.
Qualifications:
Successful candidate will typically have a BA/BS or equivalent and 3 years of related experience. SAP experience preferred.
