The Position
To manage all aspects of the technical supply chain and contract administration associated with the purchasing and procurement of aircraft spare parts, tooling, equipment and services in a timely and accurate manner to ensure maximum aircraft availability. Youll report to the VP Technical, be based in Lagos and have 2 subordinates.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Establish and maintain detailed working knowledge of all business systems, policies and procedures, including the regulatory requirements appropriate to the Airlines technical supply chain and contracts administration function.
Ensures accurate records are kept for all purchasing and logistics activities and inventories in compliance with all industry and regulatory authority requirements.
Provide data to support reliability tracking.
Provide material planning capability to the technical supply chain and parts tracking expertise.
Select, train and develop subordinate staff to deliver to the high performance requirements of the technical supply chain function.
Develops and maintains staff work schedules to ensure adequate material support for the technical support functions
Technical quote evaluation, warranty administration, and invoice reconciliation.
Monitor, reports and initiates corrective actions to ensure actual performance meets or exceeds planned objectives in the departmental tactical plan
Assist in the development of procedural guidelines required to accomplish organizational and departmental goals and objectives.
Drives continuous improvement throughout the technical supply chain function, ensuring maximum efficiency of supply at the best possible commercial terms.
Key Relationships:
Good communication skills are fundamental to facilitate working relationships at all levels of the business up to and including the Executive Board Members.
Excellent working relationships with suppliers are critical to the successful delivery of this role.
Good working relationships must be maintained with the regulatory authorities.
Who will our Client hire?
Bachelors degree in business/logistics; a Masters Degree in Business Administration
15 years experience in airline technical supply chain functions with at least 5 years at senior management positions with a demonstrated track record of delivery.
Knowledge of FAA, EASA and other regulatory requirements pertaining to aircraft spare parts, tooling and services within the responsibility of the technical supply chain.
Personal Qualities including the ability good planning and analytical skills, excellent communication skills, flexibility, leadership and the ability to perform in a high stress environment
