Job Description

Brookwood Aviation has a vacancy for a well known client in Southampton where they need a Weights & Balance Design Engineer.

Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Primarily to calculate mass, CG, mass moments of inertia on a variety of aircraft including

equipment installations in or on the airframe. Knowledge of the airworthiness regulations

relating to aircraft weight and balance is required.

Will be responsible for maintaining and updating the weights data base and completing and

indexing weight calculations such that the data is easily found and thus readily available.

Also responsible for overseeing aircraft weighing and calculation of the weight and balance

sheets so that the aircraft satisfy the weight and balance criteria.

Secondarily to undertake design function, as and when required, and provide engineering

drawings in accordance with the clients standards.

A tertiary requirement may arise to become an approved design check signatory.

1. To undertake training as appropriate in order to fulfil the requirements of the role

2. Any other duties as commensurate with the grade and/or responsibilities of the role.
