Job Description
In order to move our wind tunnel technology forward, an aggressive development programme has been formulated for the 60% model.
Model 601
Currently planned we have 674 model mechanical parts and over 200 support parts to be released from now until April. Once these have been released then we will have over 500 parts to release for Aero surfaces from February to April.
Along with the individual parts we will also have to release assembly drawings for the model shop to build the model. A suspension typically consists of 10 assembly drawings.
We are trying to make the model to the highest spec possible and this means we have to spend more time on the systems and perfecting these. Creating drawings for manufacture and assemblies for build takes a considerable amount of time away from developing the systems.
Some examples of time taken to do some mechanical drawings:
Simple drawing: 1-2hours
Axle load cells: 1-2days
Spine: 1-2days
RR Suspension assembly drawings: 2-3 days
If we could hire someone to solely concentrate on assembly drawings and part drawings, it would free up our model design time considerably. This would also guarantee that the model shop get eh relevant information on time
