High profile Defence Company based in Bolton seeks an RF & Microwave Test Engineer for component and system level test in a complex weapons production environment. You will be responsible for providing technical support to Manufacturing during Development and Production of complex weapons and associated ground equipment, ensuring achievement of deliverables to agreed time, cost and quality for all test activities with the following main specific responsibilities; manufacturing interface during Design / Development, from initial concept to Production release, covering all aspects of Test Engineering.
You must be willing to under go to SC level security clearance prior to start.
Essential skills and experience
* Minimum qualification: HNC/HND in a relevant subject.
* Extensive knowledge in the design and proving of RF & Microwave test systems at component, module and systems level.
* A good understanding of RF& Microwave manufacturing principles and processes.
* In depth knowledge of the Engineering Processes.
* Commercial and financial awareness; ability to manage budgets.
* Able to manage projects/work packages.
* Able to mentor other more junior staff as appropriate.
* Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
* Substantial analytical and problem solving skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the relevant audience.
* Organisational experience with the ability to work with and through others.
