Airline Host London Gatwick Airport. We are recruiting for ongoing temporary airline host to work for a major ground handling company based at London Gatwick Airport on an ongoing temporary basis.
The Role
This is a varied Customer focused position where you will be assisting passengers through arrivals. The position is based in both terminals of Gatwick Airport and involves working landside and involves ensuring complete customer satisfaction whilst passengers enter the airport, right through to check-in.
In this position you will be based landside, meeting and greeting all passengers, showing them how to use self-service check in machines, and assisting any passengers with problems / difficulties they may have when using these.
You will also advise of any delays or cancellations, advise also of whether check in has opened / closed for that flight, ensure passengers are aware of bag and security restrictions, and generally provide a helpful service, showing passengers where toilets are in the terminal if necessary etc.
The Candidate
Candidates must have exceptional customer service and communication skills, ability to deal with people from all walks of life, and a calm and organized nature when dealing with difficult and demanding situations. This is a role that can be very hectic and stressful so candidates also need to comfortable working under pressure.
Shifts
This is an ongoing temporary role to cover busy periods throughout 2012 including half terms, Easter, Summer Holidays and Christmas at a rate of £7.24 per hour. The position will require the candidate to be fully flexible to work a mixture of shifts from 0400 to 1130, and 1130 to 1800, from Monday through to Sunday. Candidates must ensure that they have transport arrangements to get to work, even at unusual times (if planning to travel by public transport, please check train or bus times).
