Salary: up to £40k
Our client requires a Customer Account Manager to act as a single point of contact for all CSC (Customer Support Centre) customers whose engines have been routed for repair or overhaul to the company, ensuring the highest quality of service is provided in the most cost effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the single point of contact for a customer and ensure that the customer is fully updated on engine status, services to be offered and any other pertinent information.
* Communicate regularly by telephone and e-mail with customer, during all stages of shop visit. Such communication to include the reviewing and sending of project status reports/technical reports, cost estimates, invoices etc. Communicate with customer prior to and post engine shop visit.
* Through Cycle Zero, provide timely and accurate forecasting for shop events.
* Through Cycle Zero procedure, ensure that the customer requirements and expectations are effectively flowed into the facility working closely with the pertinent shop representative.
* Review cost estimate and forward the agreed version to the customer. Discuss cost estimate with customer and where necessary, co-ordinate solutions to reduce cost or alternative options and minimise engine hold days. Ensure that shop gross margin targets are respected.
* Co-ordinate and make customer visits both on-site and at the customer's facility.
* Pro-actively manage assigned customer accounts in all aspects of the business including account payments.
* Work with RSM/Sales Support in maintaining current contracts and contract renewals.
* Provide the necessary support to FMP Business Manager to include providing purchase orders and pro-forma invoices where applicable.
* Work in compliance with the company Environment, Health & Safety work practices and procedures. Report hazards and support EH&S initiatives.
* Undertake projects/tasks from time to time as agreed with the Commercial Manager.
* Prioritise own workload within overall departmental and company requirements.
* Assist in training of others ensuring quality standards are maintained.
* The jobholder will be responsible for seeking opportunities to increase personal effectiveness and planning training and development in discussion with his/her supervisor.
* Identify opportunities for improvement in processes, working practices and team efficiency.
* Working with attention to detail in a quality controlled manner.
* Utilise IT systems as appropriate.
* Be aware of, and adhere to, company policies and procedures.
* Maintain positive working relationships with all internal departments and attend meetings if requested.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
A self-starter and a team player with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, you will be very customer orientated and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Being of graduate calibre, your credentials will include previous commercial experience within the aviation environment and, although not essential, a working knowledge of gas turbine engines. Preference will be given to candidates who have a second language in English/French, with Italian an advantage. Travel within Europe, Africa and theMiddle Eastwill be required.

37.5 hour week with flexi-time. Holidays start at 20 days, increasing by one day per year, up to 25 days after 5 years service. You may accrue up to 6 additional days per year via flexi-time.
