Our customer is a world leader in the composite manufacturing industry, with an extensive reach into the civil & military aircraft markets.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced NDT professional to join the Company at Level 3 to assume the full technical control of NDT activities.
The successful applicant will be experienced in the inspection of composite aerospace components using ultrasonic and radiographic methods. You will also be experienced in metallic aerospace product inspection (welding, machining and fabrication) using fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection methods. Candidates for this position must be centrally certified to Level 3 (PCN/ASNT) in aerospace ultrasonic's, radiography, penetrant and magnetic particle inspection. The applicant will have demonstrable experience in the control of an NDT operation by previously holding a similar post. Consideration will be given to a fully qualified Level 2 with relevant aerospace experience who is capable of meeting the requirements for Level 3 and is willing to undertake the examinations. With a good understanding of engineering process, the successful applicant should have excellent communication skills and be a confident user of the Microsoft computer packages. You will be resourceful, self-motivated and flexible and have the drive to take responsibility for the quality of work that you do and the decisions that you make. In this role you will be required to communicate and influence at all levels and have a diplomatic but assertive manner in order to organise and motive others.
