Job Description
You will be responsible for the leadership of the Configuration Management Department and the generation and management of the configuration management plan
Key Accountabilities:
To lead, manage and develop the Configuration Management Team
Act as the key customer interface on nominated Programmes
To create and manage the configuration management plan
To own, manage and develop the configuration management system and processes and ensure procedures are followed
Maintenance of information about configuration items ("CI") throughout their lifecycle from purchase to disposal
Management of the Companys Engineering Standards / Library
To undertake discovery analysis and report on CI usage, status and changes
To support As Designed, As Planned, As Built configuration audits
To ensure a high level of CI data integrity
To co-ordinate impact assessment of requests for change
To facilitate the periodic Change Control Boards
To ensure there is quality information in change requests
To report on the change process performance
Formulation, issue, and maintenance of all configuration management documentation, and data to support the as designed product configuration. Transferring configuration documentation/data to the Customer. Administration of the Engineering Standards department, for the recording and maintaining of all Company technical documentation, including Customer, regulatory, and international standards. Control and recording of all archived data.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience in a Configuration Management role ideally within the aerospace industry
Able to draft, implement and communicate new processes and policies
Highly developed skills in the creation and maintenance of complex excel spreadsheets and other PC based analysis and reporting tools
Experience using a work flow management tool or call logging system
Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks
