Job Description
My client based in North Stevenage and was established in 1985 in the field of electronic manufacturing services.
Our clients range from specialized laboratory and medical equipment manufacturers to recognized international industrial companies.
Their building covers some 25,000 sq ft of the latest in production facilities for surface mount, thru-hole, cable assembly, testing, inspection and finishing.
Role
Working in the Production Department, you will be assembling PCB's and you will need to be proficient in the following, as you will be asked to carry out a trade test as part of your interview:
Requirements
Work from assembly drawings and build packs
You must be fully experienced in hand placement of surface mount components
Also fully experienced in conventional soldering of components to IPC-A-610, class 2 and 3
Pre-form, insert and crop component leads using hand tools such as cutters, pliers etc
Operate various machinery used in the assembly process, eg flow solder machine, cleaning tank, drill etc
Understand component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and IC's
Understand the general requirements for PCB assembly and static control
Marking / labeling
Complete production documentation

Hourly Rate Between £7.00 - £7.15 an hour on PAYE basis, dependant upon experience = £13,650 - £13,942.50 per annum
Status Temp to perm, with permanent status being offered after a minimum 13 worked weeks = 65 working days
Hours 37.5 hours a week
Times 7.30am till 4.00pm Mon - Thurs and till Midday on a Friday
Annual Leave 20 days per annum
Pension Non-contributory
