Job Description
Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of satellite systems. Their activities cover complete civil and military telecommunications and Earth observation systems, science and navigation programmes, together with avionics and a wide range of space equipment and associated ground infrastructure.
They have a new and exciting opportunity for a EEE Engineer
The candidate will provide EEE (Electrical, Electronic, Electro-mechanical) Parts Engineering expertise to support Project level activities, Payload AIT activities and equipment procurement (from external subcontractors and internal equipment manufacturing groups).
Attend/support project reviews (EQSR, PDR, CDR, DRB, etc) at subcontractor sites, as required.
Review Procurement Specs, PA Plans, EEE Parts Plans, Parts Approval Documents (PADs), etc.
Manage Parts Control Board (PCB) process for the assigned projects/subcontractors, with optional customer representation.
Support NCR, MRB, & concession activities.
Perform /support on-site hardware audits and supplier audits.
Prepare and issue reports on all activities.
PAD and EEE Parts documentation management.
Participate in internal progress meetings and report on project EEE Parts status.
Assess the equipment DCLs prior to introduction to the project DCL.
Obtain and collate all lower level DCLs into the project DCL, as required
Maintain status on DCL issues, qualification Programs, Radiation Testing and PCB actions, and report as required.
Essential
Previous experience of EEE Parts Engineering in space or other hi-rel applications, preferably over a broad range of part types
Understanding of Parts Approval Documents and Procurement Specifications
Awareness of Product Assurance
Experience of liaison with external suppliers/subcontractors and customer representatives
Availability to travel both nationally and internationally to other sites/suppliers/subcontractors
IT Competency Microsoft Office and email
Desirable:
Degree/HND in EEE Parts Engineering related subject (Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics)
