Job Description
A Superb opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join a Market Leader in the development of Real-time Electronic Engine Controls and FIE. Successful candidates must have proven experience in this domain.
Specification
Electronics & Systems Department
To facilitate in the development of electronics for real-time electronic engine controller systems used to control fuel injection equipment in light/medium duty diesel applications.
As soon as possible
The roles main duties will be drawn from the following:
Part of a team responsible for development of customer specific ECU application(s).
Capture customer requirements and generate specifications to manage the ECU supplier.
Support customer programme activities e.g. EMC conformance testing, FMEA, project reviews etc.
Test and debug ECU installations both at Client and customer sites
Bench testing of prototype ECUs as part of customer acceptance program including documenting test work.
Design and develop prototype circuits for future FIE systems
Self motivation, attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised
Educated to degree level (or higher) in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
Proven experience of developing digital, analogue & PSU circuitry, also the fundamental elements of real time systems.
A familiarity with diesel engine systems would be advantageous in this role.
