Job Description

Systems Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer - 3 new roles  - Aerospace, Defence, Avionics,  Mechanical, Electro Mechanical and Structural, DOORS

  

 This systems engineer will be involved in cutting edge projects and designs of highly technical systems solutions in Air to Air refuelling. Taking concepts through the development process is key to the success of the products. You will be required to carry out systems engineering activities associated with delivery of hose movement system elements of AAR pods and Fuselage Refuelling Units. Elements of responsibility may include electro-mechanical equipment such as motor & control equipment, actuators, sensors, trailing components and braking systems across departments including Fuel Transfer, Avionics, Hose Movement and Structures

Responsibilities include:

Preparation of technical estimates for non-recurring costs and manpower requirements.

Requirements capture, validation and definition of verification strategy.

Allocation of requirements to sub-systems and components.

Preparation of Specifications and other project documentation.

Risk management.

Technical management of external suppliers:

Liaison with customers, internal and external.

Liaison with specialists such as design, performance and ILS engineers.

Liaison with other internal departments such as Product Support and Operations.

Technical Skills required

Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical...

Systems engineering.

Aerospace Engineering,

New Product Development.

Concept Design within avionics.

Team Leadership experience.

DOORS or similar requirements tool.

Project Engineers, Systems Engineering background..

Mechanical, Avionics, Electro-Mechanical.

Structural & Aerodynamics understanding.

Understanding or Vibration test procedures and results would be an advantage.

Qualifications - HNC, HND, Degree - Engineering, Aerospace, Systems, Electrical or Mechanical.

Salary:  £35K-£50K  depending on the level of the position  - 3 new roles, - plus benefits package ( bonus, pension, relocation assistance)
