Lead Systems Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer - Feasibility Studies - Aerospace, Electro - Mechanical, Electronics, Motors, Control Equipment, Fluid Components, Actuators, Sensors.
The Lead Systems Engineer will join the air to air refuelling project team, initially leading a feasibility study for a new air to air refuelling system. You will be required to carry out systems engineering activities associated with the development of alternative architectures and their evaluation from technical & business perspectives.
The subject systems will include electro-mechanical & electronic equipment such as motors & control equipment, fluid components, actuators, sensors and trailing components.
As a Lead Systems Engineer your key responsibilities will include:
Preparation of technical estimates for non-recurring costs and manpower requirements.
Requirements capture, validation and definition of verification strategy.
Allocation of requirements to sub-systems and components.
Preparation of Specifications and other project documentation.
Risk evaluation.
Technical management of external suppliers.
Liaison with customers.
Liaison with internal specialists such as design, performance, ILS, Product Support and Operations Leadership of a small team.
As a Lead Systems Engineer your qualifications and experience should include:
Engineering Degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic or aeronautical engineering.
Experience in a Mechanical or Electronic environment with a strong background in the development of new systems and components within an Aerospace environment.
Demonstrable experience of strategic and technical input into project teams.
Solid experience of understanding complex systems in an Aeronautical environment and creating innovative solutions.
Experience with or in Product Development an advantage.
