Job Description

High profile Defence Company based in Bristol seeks an experienced System Engineer to undertake all aspects of System Engineering on Radar Study, Development and Support contracts. You will Support Software Upgrades, Support Trials (including Firing Trials), Manage P&Qs and Manage NCRs

Essential skills and experience
* Qualification to Degree level in a relevant discipline ie: Physics, Electronics and Mathematics.
* Good problem solving skills and a working experience of the engineering life cycle.
* Systems understanding of modern radar operation
* Understanding of phased arrays
* Good team working skills to liaise with Systems Team and MFR Delivery Team
* Good communication, presentation and report writing skills.
* Ability to work with and influence a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
* Commercial and financial awareness and understanding of business strategy.
* Capable of managing own work packages.
* Analytical, methodical approach to analysis and problem solving
* Ability (or potential) to liaise with the supplier, customer community and its agencies
