Avionics Research & Technology Engineer
Our Global Aviation client is currently seeking an Avionics Research & Technology Engineer for a Permanent opportunity at their Bristol Offices. The company are one of the market leaders in air transport systems and services.
The position will require the successful candidate to:
* Write, update and maintain detailed functional specifications regarding to the needs of Integrated Modular Avionics components and remote equipment.
* Update functional requirement documents.
* Lead interface analysis.
* Maintain Verification & Validation plan.
* Develop the software parts necessary for the demonstrator operation.
Experience Required: Candidates will need to be familiar with the avionic communication context (ATA-42) and its characteristics. At least 5 years experience in the Avionic industry and 3 years of which in a Research and Technology role in electronics and / or industrial computing.
Skill set to include:
* Knowledge of electronics and industrial computing (Windows/UNIX, std POSIX, Pick OS, C/C++)
* Data Communication knowledge
* Product development cycle knowledge (V&V cycle)
* Experience of working with standards such as IEEE 1451
