Avionic/Electrical Fitters (Night Shift)

As an Avionic/Electrical Fitter you will operate under the direction of CAvS supervision to complete the modification programme on 12 A330 aircraft over the next 5 years. You will be carrying out heavy structural modifications, including fuel tank work, to convert the aircraft into Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft (FSTA) at our Bournemouth Airport site

As an Avionic/Electrical Fitter your key responsibilities will include
- Responsible to the nominated supervisor for the Conversion, Modification, scheduled maintenance, Component changes, rectification and repair, mandatory inspection.
- The control of any material or Company equipment provided for the task.
- The cleanliness of working areas at all times.
- Required to work in a safe manner and perform other tasks which may be required by your Supervisor.
- To precisely carry out the FSTA Structural modification tasks under supervision.
- To identify potential problems to the Conversion task and provide workable solutions.
- To ensure compliances with responsibilities as defined by company policy
- To ensure that CavS' interests are protected and promoted.
- To share knowledge and experience of the conversion programme with other team members
- Complete all work cards as soon possible, once the task has been completed and hand the completed worksheets to your SLAE/ leading Hand/ inspector.
- Notify supervisors of any serious defects immediately after discovery.
- Ensure compliance with all Heath and Safety, Quality and Security processes and procedures.
- To ensure that all work on the aircraft and associated components is carried out in accordance with relevant FRA /Airbus/Authorities Processes and procedures
- To carry out the directions of the Cobham SLAE/ leading Hand/ inspector
As an Avionic/Electrical Fitter your Qualifications and experience will ideally include
Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or Service Equivalent are essential
BTEC ONC in an Engineering discipline and/or a Supervisory qualification would be desirable Experience in an Aircraft Engineering discipline covering Major Structural repairs and conversions or modifications.
Large aircraft conversion and modification experience would be ideal as would familiarity with Airbus techniques.
