| Description | Research, design, develop, release and maintain electronic hardware for microcalorimetry instrumentation. Lead in the design of hardware for new or existing systems. Provide hardware support for new electro-mechanical prototypes as part of ongoing new product development efforts. Define, design and implement product features and systems capabilities. Develop test cases and test procedures, participate in testing and analysis at the system/sub-system level. |
| Requirements | BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree. Five years minimum of relevant professional experience. Experience with microvolt and nanovolt measurements. Experience with thermal sensors and measurements. Experience with grounding methods for precision signal measurement. Experience with analog circuitry. Experience with high resolution (24 bit) A/D converters and D/A converters. Experience with microprocessors / microcontrollers, particularly with Cortex ARM microcontrollers. Experience with control systems, feedback loops and PID algorithms. |
