Job Description


1. The Certified Aviation Maintenance Technician is responsible to the Maintenance Manager and his duties include: -

2. The satisfactory completion and certification of all work required by , in accordance with the work specification.

3. Ensuring that the company GMM procedures and standards are complied with when carrying out maintenance.

4. Ensuring, that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to a standard acceptable to the company GMM and the GACA requirements.

5. Responding to quality deficiencies in the area of activity for which he/she is responsible, which arise from independent quality audits.

6. Compliance with the procedures of the GACA with respect to completion and certification of work carried out.

7. The correct use of the Emir Airlines Aircraft Technical Log Documentation, rectification of defects and deferral of MEL defects.

8. Maintaining company records of work completed segregation of components or parts removed from aircraft pending return to the Stores or other disposal action.

9. Maintenance of technical documents, manuals and data in accordance with Emir Airlines GMM.

10. Keeping current with the latest GMM revisions.

11. Read and sign procedures to be actioned upon receipt of amendment changes.

12. Familiar with FAA regulations applicable to such operations with particular emphasis on:

  • Part 23 - Airworthiness Standards.
  • Part 39 - Airworthiness Directives.
  • Part 43 - Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Rebuilding and Alteration.
  • Part 65 - Certification: Airmen other than Flight Crew Members.
  • Part 91 - General Operating and Flight Rules.
  • Part 121 - Operating Requirements.
  • Part 125 - Certification & Operations
  • Part 145 - Repair Stations.
