| Description | Primary responsibilities will be: Key contributor to product development for system level electrical specifications, from both a design and manufacturing standpoint. Responsible for electrical design, build, test, and characterization of electronics cooling systems including, analog & digital control circuitry, communication and power cabling, and schematics. Responsible for managing all firmware and hardware designs, testing, and validation for use in electronics and personal cooling systems. Proven ability to work with external design consultants. Work within product development processes, controls, and metrics to ensure the products meet customer needs and performance criteria and are compliant with requirements appropriate for regulatory submissions, including: Military Specifications related to conducted and radiated emissions and susceptibility, UL, CE, CSA, etc. Knowledge and/or experience in hardware/firmware layout, including PIC micro-controllers. Embedded Software programming. Experience programming Microchip PIC18 series a plus. Understanding of DC motor control theory. Experience with writing DC motor control algorithms a plus. Responsible for risk management activities for the software and electrical hardware portion of product FMEA's. Manufacturing experience a plus. Some travel will be required. |
