Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Airworthiness Engineer to join a leading company in the aviation sector.

This Airworthiness engineering role will be involved in cutting edge projects and design Airworthiness of highly technical systems solutions in Air to Air refuelling. We view our staff as a key assets and joining our current team of experts you will be able to learn our products and help to keep us at the forefront of our industry.

As an Airworthiness Engineer your key responsibilities will include
Lead development and management of the Engineering Airworthiness capability.
Support design development and certification through airworthiness assessment and guidance.
Manage development of FRACAS process and execution.
Deliver improvement in Airworthiness awareness through assessment and training.
Provide Airworthiness assessments to support and guide design development, design modification, and failure investigations.
Provide Airworthiness assessment of qualification and verification artefacts supporting certification.
Provide authorisation for adopted Certification Process (Statement of Airworthiness), and for drawings, reports and artefacts.
Chair and Manage Failure Review Boards, including organising attendance, agenda and minutes, supporting investigation strategy and progressing actions.
Manage FRACAS reporting of data and trends to Engineering Design Authority and to Customer Services Department.
Liaison with engineering to progress failure investigation data and investigation reports.
Support Design Reviews and Engineering investigations.

As an Airworthiness Engineer your qualifications & experience should include
Aerospace Degree or equivalent qualifications.
Delegated airworthiness authority an advantage.
Demonstrated capability in Aerospace Airworthiness, Reliability, Safety discipline.
Knowledge of Civil and Military aviation Certification procedures and requirements.
Background in maintenance of operational aircraft desirable.
Participation in Aerospace FRACAS/DRACAS and FRB process.
Knowledge of ARM principles and techniques, and failure analysis process.
Capability in Aerospace product development, modification, repair, failure investigation and configuration management.

Due to the nature of the work, this position requires all applicants to be eligible for SC level security clearance.
