Quality Aircraft Director Position
An Experienced Quality Director is needed to assist with the following for our client in Victorville, CA:
Quality Aircraft Director Position Job Description:
- The chosen candidate is responsible for ensuring the client provides high quality products, services, and documentation for all maintenance activities and complies with the applicable FAR Part 145, EASA and other regulatory entity requirements as well as the policies and procedures of Victorville Aerospace. This position has the authority to act on behalf of the Repair Station (14CFR 145.209 (a) (1)).
- Ensures that resources required for maintenance activities within area of responsibilities of quality, safety, training, and HAZMAT management are readily available and comply with the applicable DOT, FAR, EASA, client.
- Aerospace Resources & Technologies and other regulatory entity requirements.
- Establishes and enforces a quality system that provides Quality Assurance
- Maintains familiarity and understanding of all applicable FAR's and EASA
- Establishes and manages Quality Control mechanisms to ensure quality
- Produces and maintains a Quality Control Manual that will provide the guidelines to achieve compliance with the applicable customer and regulatory control requirements
- Produces and maintains a Repair Station Manual that provides the guidelines to achieve compliance with applicable FAR Part 145 requirements
- Establishes, manages, and coordinates the FAA and EASA liaison program and ensures continuity exists between the client and all governmental regulatory requirements
- Supports and enforces any policies, procedures, work instructions, requirements and specifications established by customer(s) and/or regulatory agencies.
- Establishes, maintains, and monitors a Tool and Calibration equipment System to ensure that inspection and test equipment used to determine or support airworthiness are properly calibrated and in proper working order.
- Established and manages budgets and cost standards for the department
- Encourages and ensures high employee motivation, efficiency, and discipline.
- Ensures that adequate facilities, equipments, and personnel are available to performs and accomplish QA, QC, Training and Safety functions.
- Ensures on time delivery of products, services, and maintenance and/or alteration documentation to customers and regulatory entities.
- Has the authority to resolve any disputes or disagreements regarding QA, QC, airworthiness, and/or release to service of an aircraft.
- Establishes, maintains, and monitors the clients Internal Audit Programs to ensure compliance with the applicable customer and regulatory requirements and promote continuous improvement
- Coordinate the training requirements of all personnel with the Training Manager.
- Establishes, maintains, and ensures compliance to the Safety Program.
- Supports and performs other miscellaneous duties as per assigned
Qualified Candidates For Quality Aircraft Director Position Will Have The Following Education/Experience:
- An A&P License is required.
- 5+ years of experience is required.
- 6 of 24 months of recent experience is required.
- Must hold a current mechanic certificate with an airframe and power plant rating and have held these ratings for at least 5 years.
- Must have worked on large commercial aircraft for at least 5 years
- Requires 5 years managerial experience managing inspection workforce on large commercial aircraft
- Must have a high level of proficiency of applicable FAR"s especially those that pertain to part 25 aircraft maintenance and operations
- Demonstrated strong leadership and employee development skills
- Must have previous experience in taking a strong stand when necessary to insure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prefer previous experience managing 145 operation but not necessary. Management with an airline is acceptable
- Proven Problem solving skills
- Demonstrated success in building a strong teamwork environment
- Must be able to read and write English proficiently
- Able to adapt and manage effectively in a rapidly changing environment, working multiple projects, and tasks concurrently.
- Must be properly certified under part 65 for FAR's
- Must have a thorough understanding of OEM or other approved data including its use and applicability.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Environment including Excel and Word.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and AD"s
- Must possess a valid clear driver's license
- Must possess your own set of tools
