Aircraft Maintenance Inspector Position


An Experienced Chief Inspector is needed to assist with the following for our client in Victorville, CA:

Aircraft Maintenance Inspector Position Job Description:

  • The chosen candidate is responsible for ensuring compliance of all maintenance with the applicable FAR part 145, EASA and other regulatory entity requirements as well as all policies.  This position is also responsible for high and efficient performance levels from all inspection personnel.
  • Coordinates and participates in airworthiness determination, aircraft certification and return to service activities.
  • Maintains the inspectors' roster and forwards changes to the FAA
  • Reports any deficiencies and discrepancies to the Director of Quality, Safety and Training
  • Ensures that all maintenance has been performed
  • Resources & Technologies policies, procedures, work instructions, and accomplish in compliance with applicable governmental regulatory requirements.
  • Supports and enforces and policies, procedures, work instructions, requirements and specifications established by customer(s) and/or regulatory agencies
  • Is the focal point for customer concerns associated with quality and is responsible for resolving the issues.
  • Ensures that all personnel performing all inspection tasks are properly qualified and certified to perform the work
  • Coordinates the training requirements of assigned personnel with the Training Manager
  • Oversees inspection activities and provides technical support to Receiving Inspection Department
  • Assists in coordinating, developing, and participating in regulatory activities including audits
  • Supports and performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualified Candidates For Aircraft Maintenance Inspector Position Will Have The Following Education/Experience:

  • An A&P License is required.
  • 5+ years of experience is required.
  • 6 of 24 months of recent experience is required.
  • Requires a BS degree in technical field OR 5 years managerial experience managing inspection workforce on large commercial aircraft.
  • Must have a high level of proficiency of applicable FAR's especially those that pertain to part 25 aircraft maintenance and operations
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and employee development skills
  • Must have previous experience in taking a strong stand when necessary to insure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prefer experience managing 145 operations but not necessary, management within an airline is acceptable
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated success in building a strong team work environment
  • Able to adapt and manage effectively in a rapidly changing environment, working multiple projects, and tasks concurrently
  • Must be properly certified under part 65 Title 14, CFR
  • Must have a thorough understanding of OEM or other approved data including its use and applicability
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft windows environment including Excel and Word
  • Must possess a valid clear driver's license
  • Must possess your own set of tools
