Job Description

Commercial Jet Manager, Sales - Moscow

Our Moscow Commercial Jet Department is expanding and we are looking for a Commercial Jet Manager to oversee this division.

minimum deliverables that ultimately allow you to achieve your team budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing team daily to ensure they are consistently effective and ultimately working to achieve annual team budget
  • Lead from the front as an experienced manager and broker acting as an example of best practice to your team
  • Provide clear, timely communication to your team on all relevant matters
  • Providing training, coaching and mentoring to team members as they develop ensuring skill sets improve
  • Ensuring your team develop effective customer bases
  • Liaise with other team leaders regarding leadership ideas and challenges at assist with innovative problem solving
  • Manage performance of team and liaise with HR regarding any issues that may need additional support
  • Conduct reviews of team members to ensure their development is on-going and structured
  • Report any on-going performance issues to the board
  • Collect information and build up a contact list for potential clients
  • Contacting potential clients to introduce our services to them
  • Create an awareness of our presence in this market
  • Client relationship management on a regular basis
  • Ensuring on-going effective relationships with customer base
  • Having an expert understanding of the aircraft we use, their range, capacity, crewing etc.
  • Ad Hoc and Commercial Jet brokering
  • Training other team members as required
  • Meeting deadlines for all projects

Skills and Experience 

Industry Knowledge 

  • Ideally educated to degree level in appropriate field (aviation, business studies, language, communications, Geography) 
  • Senior management sales experience within aviation industry with aircraft operator or handler in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the product in terms of aircraft types, availability, airports, handling agents etc.

Client / Supplier Relationship Management 

  • Demonstrate experience in managing relationships with astute customers
  • Demonstrate the ability to deal with problems or challenges in a calm and professional manner
  • Demonstrate experience of procurement or negotiation in order to obtain best value for Air Charter Service and its clients  

A passion for aviation is essential.  Additionally, we look for: 

  • Business verbal and written fluency in English and Russian is essential.
  • Successful new business sales achievement.
  • Previous management or senior airline sales or charter brokering experience with large groups of passengers
  • Calm disposition and positive outlook, particularly when working under pressure.
  • Flexibility to change and adapt working hours and patterns if necessary.
  • Trustworthy and honest in all aspects of the role.
  • Self - motivated and happy to work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Committed to the aims and objectives of Air Charter Service.
  • Team player who appreciates the value of co-operation within the local and international ACS team.
